Mogers Drewett proud to help St John’s Catholic Primary Schools spread some kindness
Four months on from St John’s Catholic Primary School in Bath winning our ‘design some bunting’ for the Jubilee competition in June, we were keen to find out how they had enjoyed spending the £500 prize money. We were delighted to find out that the money had been spent on a ‘Buddy Bench’ initiated by the Kindness Krew at the school.
Mrs Harding who is the schools Kindness Krew lead explains about the Kindness Krew and why the initiative is so important:
“The Kindness Krew are a group of year 6 children who work together to make playtimes happy for everyone. One of the things that they really wanted to do was to have a Buddy Bench. This is a bench in the playground where anyone who does not have a friend to play with can sit. The Kindness Krew keep an eye on the bench and will play with anyone sitting on it. This means that everyone has a friend to play with. Kindness Krew also support people who might find playtimes tricky by solving problems using their diamond powers.
We all at Mogers Drewett were delighted to have helped the Buddy Bench to become a reality, and hope the Kindness Krew continue with their great work and that the Buddy Bench is a place for children to enjoy for years to come.
