Mogers Drewett is launching a new campaign this Christmas to help support three foodbanks local to their offices in Bath, Sherborne & Wells.

Sean McDonough, Managing Partner of Mogers Drewett explains, “Mogers Drewett has a long history of supporting local charities and community activities. This year, we have decided to support our local foodbanks as we can see how deeply the cost-of-living crisis is affecting our communities and we really want to help.”

From Thursday 17th November, the Mogers Drewett offices will be accepting donations of long-life food products, cleaning products and toiletries and such as shower gel and deodorants and launching a Christmas raffle.

Raffle tickets cost just £1 per ticket and can be purchased at any of our offices. Office locations. Prizes range from an overnight stay at an award-winning luxury hotel in Dorset, afternoon tea at the 5* Bath Spa Hotel to tickets to Bishop Palace in Wells plus much more.  All proceeds will go to support, Bath Foodbank Sherborne Foodbank and Wells Vineyard Foodbank.

John Crossman, from Sherborne Foodbank said, “We are extremely grateful for the immense generosity of so many local people and of partners such as Mogers Drewett. Our website lists how you can donate food and other essential items or cash. Sadly, at the moment demand is the highest we have known it in our area and is growing by the week. Your support provides a lifeline to people in desperate need and enables us, on your behalf, to express the concern of our community to help our neighbours though these difficult times. Thank you.”

Sue Marland, Senior Pastor and Foodbank Manager at Wells Vineyard Foodbank said, “We are now spending around £1,800 per month on groceries and other essential items as demand has outstripped the traditional donations of long-life products. Financial support such as this, is a lifeline and will help us to continue to support local people in desperate need.”

Sean continues, “Mogers Drewett want to focus this year’s charitable activity on the food banks so we can help to support our local communities. We see this as the start of a longer-term relationship through 2023 which in addition to our Christmas campaign, will see the firm make its own cash donations, encourage staff to volunteer at food banks and work with the providers to identify additional fundraising activities into 2023.”
