Mogers Drewett continue to go Green
The Green Team at Mogers Drewett have been busy!
As a member of the Legal Sustainability Alliance for 2023 – The only not-for-profit sustainability network run by law firms for law firms, Mogers Drewett have been busy working with the network to achieve our sustainability objectives.
So far, we have reviewed the lighting in all our offices and started by installing LED lighting throughout our Sherborne office, reducing the wattage for our lighting from 72 watts to 16 watts. As well as the benefits for the environment, the Sherborne team tell us that the lighting environment is much nicer to work in.
In addition to the LED lighting the Green team have also provided all MD team members with their own branded re-usable water bottle and following the launch of our new website in November 2022 we now plant a tree for every newsletter sign up we receive. To date we have planted 555 trees in various locations around the world and we have ambitious plans to develop this initiative further in 2023.
Following a review of our suppliers and processes by the Green Team we have moved our stationery supplier to a supplier with strong green credentials and amended our headed paper design to enable us to fit more text per page. This will significantly reduce the amount of paper and it is now standard practise to email information rather than print.
2023 looks like it is going to be another great year for the Green Team with lots of projects underway that we hope will all make a difference to the environment we work in now but also make significant long term improvements for future generations.
