Mogers Drewett congratulates Pentathlon GB’s Jamie Cooke for winning historic world title

As proud sponsors of Pentathlon GB, Mogers Drewett is delighted that pentathlete Jamie Cooke has won World Championship gold in Mexico City in a remarkable sprint finish, becoming the first British man to win the modern pentathlon world title for 25 years.

Originally from Cheltenham, Jamie now lives in Bath. In 2016, he became the World Number 1 ranked male modern pentathlete following a 9th place finish in the 2016 World Championships in Moscow.

As a West Country based law firm, Mogers Drewett has been supporting the Pentathlon GB team since February 2015, helping the team achieve success at a number of competitions on the world stage including the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.  The University of Bath is home to the squad’s National Training Centre, putting the City of Bath on the map as a region of sporting excellence.

Commenting on Jamie’s achievement and Mogers Drewett’s sponsorship of the team, Steven Treharne, Managing Partner, said: “Our congratulations go out to Jamie for winning the Gold in what was a truly spectacular performance. The entire Pentathlon GB is a real inspiration – we know that achieving sporting success takes an incredible amount of focus, effort and dedication which is why we’re so pleased to be doing our bit to help them accomplish even more.”
