COVID-19 (Coronavirus) update for Mogers Drewett clients

In light of the uncertainty we all face with the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we want to reassure our clients that while it is business as usual, our absolute number one priority is the safety of both our clients and staff at this time.

There is a lot we don’t know about Coronavirus but health authorities have been clear that maintaining good hygiene is absolutely critical and so we would like to reassure our clients that we are following UK Government recommendations and have put in place measures to help mitigate the risk of increased infections. This includes precautions, such as:-

  • 14-day self-isolation for staff returning from high-risk overseas destinations, regardless of presentation of symptoms
  • 14-day self-isolation for staff presenting symptoms, regardless of whether staff feel well within the 14-day period
  • A restriction on all travel between our offices to reduce the opportunity for staff to spread the virus
  • Social distancing, staff have been advised to limit physical contact with all clients and colleagues, so please do not be offended if your solicitor does not shake hands when greeting you.

We have taken the recent decision to temporarily close our offices, for more information on this please visit our recent news article. Phone lines will be diverted to mobiles and staff will have system access at home. At this time, it is very much business as usual and we have IT and phone systems available to communicate with you in whichever way you are most comfortable, including video conferencing.

Please contact your solicitor should you wish to arrange for an online meeting or a home visit subject to government guidance.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
