Climate Action
Mogers Drewett worked closely with Bath-based climate action consultancy, Seedling.Earth, to reduce its CO2 footprint by investing in gold standard accredited renewable energy projects around the world including fantastic UN climate action projects such as tree planting.
Mogers Drewett has also implemented several carbon reduction measures closer to home, including the introduction of energy-efficient LED lighting in its offices and home working.
As a member of the Legal Sustainability Alliance, a not-for-profit network of green law firms, Mogers Drewett previously teamed up with Ecologi and agreed to plant a tree for every newsletter subscription – they have confirmed they planted 500 trees in total!
To further support the environment, Mogers Drewett have utilised technologies such as DocuSign and Bundledocs to cut down on the use of paper. Furthermore, the firm is also introducing new technologies such as the Remarkable tablet to phase out the use of paper notepads.
In addition, Mogers Drewett has carried out a thorough review of its stationery and energy suppliers, switching to providers with strong green credentials.
We were thrilled to be announced as “Eco Champions of the Year” at the TBE Awards, hosted by The Business Exchange South West; a big thank you to our ESG team for all their hardwork and dedication towards making our firm more ESG responsible!
Harry Durston, who is Mogers Drewett’s ESG team leader, said: “As a firm, we recognise that we have a responsibility to future generations to operate our business in a way that minimises our impact on the environment.
“So, we are extremely proud to become a certified carbon neutral business. It provides independent recognition of our commitment to reducing our environmental impact and operating in a more sustainable way.”
Managing Partner Sean McDonough confirmed, “Internally there is a strong drive to take measures that will make a positive impact on the environment, we not only accept that challenge we welcome it. Clients are also acutely aware of the impact of climate change and supportive of our drive towards carbon neutrality.”
