Privacy Statement for Job Applicants

Mogers Drewett is committed to safe guarding the privacy of your personal data; we (Mogers Drewett) aim to be as clear as possible about how and why we collect your information. We will only process your information when there are legitimate interests to do so.

In this Statement we explain how we treat your information and who it may be shared with. Mogers Drewett will collect information, including personal information from you during the process of your job application.

If you are applying for a job and do not agree with any part of this Privacy Statement, you should not continue with your application.

What information we collect

  • We obtain from a recruitment agency when they arrange an application for you

What information we process

We process information relevant to the above reasons / purposes. This may include:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Employment history
  • Interview notes
  • Any other information you may chose to provide us with during the course of your job application

Sensitive Personal Data

We may process sensitive personal data in relation to health or disabilities. This will only be in instances where you provide us with such information so that we can make reasonable adjustments to our workplace for interview access. Such processing will be in the legitimate interests of both parties for recruitment purposes and will not be retained for any longer than our retention period (as set out below) states.

Who the information may be shared with

Your job application will not be shared with any third parties.

Unless you are shortlisted, your application and personal information remain within the HR department at Mogers Drewett. If you are shortlisted, your information will be shared with management within Mogers Drewett before we invite you to an interview.

If you attend an interview with us, notes that we may take during the interview will be shared with the HR department and management within Mogers Drewett.

Why we process your personal information

We have legitimate interests for recruitment purposes to mange job applications and assess candidates for vacancies. We also have to comply with Legal Obligations in the Immigration Act which requires us to obtain evidence of eligibility to work in the UK.

Retention of your personal data

For unsuccessful applicants and for speculative CV’s, all personal information and details of the application will be confidentially destroyed of within 1 working day of you receiving an email clarifying that you have not been successful.

In the event that we or you wish for us to store your CV for longer, it will always be with your prior consent and for a defined period, which will be no longer than 6 months.

For unsuccessful interviewees, all details of the application and interview notes will be stored for 3 months after the interview date. This is for legitimate interests for recruitment purposes.

If you are successful in your job application, you will be issued with a Privacy Statement for Employees alongside your contract of employment.

Email

Emails sent via the internet can be subject to interception, loss or possible alteration, therefore we cannot guarantee their security. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your data sent by email and therefore will have no liability to you for any damages or other costs in relation to emails sent by you to us via the internet. Information Security

We invest appropriate resources to protect your personal information, from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no internet-based site can be 100% secure and we cannot be held responsible for unauthorised or unintended access that is beyond our control.

We will keep this Privacy Policy under review and make updates from time to time. Any changes to this will be posted on this page, so please review the Website periodically for changes.
