Carbon Crackdown and ESG Team Update

Mogers Drewett Celebrate Being Carbon Neutral Once Again as They Offset 100% of Their Carbon Usage

This year was the second year that the firm has calculated its carbon emissions, and we are pleased to confirm that we have reduced our carbon emissions from 4.7 tonnes of CO2 per employee to 4.1 tonnes of CO2 per employee. This is a 12% decrease and we wanted to thank you all our staff for their continued hard work in helping decrease the firm’s carbon footprint.

We are also pleased to announce that we won “Eco Champion of the Year” at the TBE Awards, hosted by the South West Business Exchange! We are thrilled to have been given this award, as it shows how hard our ESG have been working to even be considered, let alone win!

However, we can always do better, and we will all be working hard to bring our carbon figure down over the coming year. For example, we have recently switched energy providers in the Sherborne office to a green energy provider.

The firm has also, for the second year in a row, completely offset its carbon emissions. We do this by investing in Gold Standard schemes accredited by the United Nations. These schemes vary from wind and solar power to resource efficiency and, support zero hunger, gender equality and affordable clean energy.

The “Green Team” will also be evolving over the next few months and will be transitioning into the “ESG Team”. More updates regarding this change will be coming your way shortly, so watch this space!

As we look towards making further changes to reduce the firm’s carbon footprint over the next year, why not subscribe to our newsletter, where you can keep track over all of our fantastic ESG work, firm updates and more!

Thank you all for your continued support of the firm’s carbon emissions.
