Massive turn out for local farmers seminar
On Wednesday 6th November Mogers Drewett Solicitors, Old Mill Accountants and Symonds & Sampson held a hugely successful seminar targeted at local farmers and their businesses.
Over 130 guests attended the farmers seminar held at The Olive Bowl in Gillingham. The speakers spoke on topical farming issues such as ‘Single Farm Payment’, the affect of tax on farmhouses, capital allowance, business succession and finally Family Farm Partnerships and the importance of formalising farm business arrangements for the benefit of outgoing and next generations.
The farmers seminar was finished off with a question and answer session followed by a hot supper provided by The Olive Bowl and a chance to networking with other guests and professionals.
There is a growing realisation that planning for the future of farming requires forethought and understanding and it cannot be just left to evolve. There are too many uncertainties that constantly frustrate sound farm business management and these updates are a key part of informing and advising farmers of the latest issues.
